- This is what the shot looked like originally, It looks too blue. it does looks good but it can be improved.
- So to improve the clip you have to select it. To select a clip all you have to do is click on it and it will be highlighted this is how you know the right clip has been selected.
- To balance the colour of the clip you have to click the magic wand tool and this will drop down a list of options. To balance the colour of the clip you have to click the first option on the drop down menu or press alt+cmd+B.

- Then if you look back at the clip you selected you can see that there is a change in the colour of the clip.
This is a comparison of the original clip (on the left) and the new clip (on the right)
Alex it's great to see you thinking about colour correction and experimenting with different casts - well done! Today, can you upload a complete rough cut (just leave a black frame for any bits you haven't shot yet) and add titles too - that way we can get a feel for the pace of the story and i can give you more detailed feedback.
ReplyDeleteAlex it's great to see you thinking about colour correction and experimenting with different casts, well done. Your film opening is starting to take shape but it would be good to be able to watch a whole rough cut so I can offer advice on how to develop this. There are some good shots and your match cut editing is looking good. I'd like to see more of the protagonist though in CU or MCU so we can get more of an idea about the character. Please can you put a rough cut together today and let me know when it's uploaded.
